Homestead is located in Southwest Portland. It is bordered by the Southwest Hills, Corbett-Terwilliger, Homestead, and Healy Heights Neighborhoods.

Features

The Homestead neighborhood is a mix of suburban and urban areas.  It borders "Pill Hill", the nickname for one of the OHSU locations up on the hill.  You can now ride the Portland aerial tram down the hillside to the new OHSU location on the Southwest Waterfront.  Located in such close proximity to downtown makes this a popular area due to the relatively easy commute.

Neighborhood Vibe

The Southwest area of Portland features more mature trees, established neighborhoods with older homes in a variety of styles, and a comfortable family friendly feel.  There are several parks and nature areas in the Southwest hills, making it easy to get away from it all while still being in the city.  If you enjoy a more rural feeling neighborhood, while still being located fairly close to the city, Homestead might be a good fit.  Homestead is located within easy driving distance to downtown Portland.
