Portland Oregon Blog – PortlandNeighborhood.com is an all-local, totally grassroots blog and website covering all of Portland and her glorious neighborhoods. Online and operational since 2005, we publish a weekly blog read by over 250,000 people from Portland and beyond.

Our focus is simple: Real Portland. Every week, we give you the Portland Oregon events rundown by choosing 10 or more of our favorite events off our events calendar. Our members can submit their events for free and we keep it loaded with fresh events weekly.

In addition to our blog, we have a very cool way for people to interact with us and ask (and answer) questions. Our Portland social network is easy and free to join and since 2008, we have been steadily increasing in membership. Our members help us to define the look and feel of Portland and for that, we could not be more thankful. So, once a week, a member submitted photo is selected for the Portland Photo of the Week and the winner receives a $20 gift certificate to a local Portland business of our choosing. We choose to promote only from businesses that are 100% local and independently owned and operated.

Every weekly blog comes with a Local Tour of a Portland Neighborhood where photos and videos complete your visual walkthrough. You’ll learn all about what makes this neighborhood, say The Alberta Arts District, a wonderful self-sustaining neighborhood and what local businesses and people define the area.
