Portland Saturday Market:  If you're visiting Portland and want to experience what the city is really like, you cannot afford to miss a trip to the Portland Saturday Market.  The market has been in continuous operation since 1974 and is nationally recognized as the largest open air market in the United States.  Smack dab in the heart of Old Town in downtown Portland, you'll find hundreds of vendors selling locally made crafts and foods as well as local musicians.  Grab a bite to eat, wander the vendor stalls or just sit and listen to some music and watch the world go by. 

The Market is open from Feb 28- Dec 24 on Saturdays 10am-5pm and Sundays 11am-4:30pm.  Don't miss the "Festival of Last Minute Market" which is held yearly around the holidays.
