Location South Burlingame is located in Southwest Portland. It is bordered by the Hillsdale, Corbett-Terwilliger, Collins View, Marshall Park, Marquam, and Multnomah Neighborhoods. This neighborhood is located fairly close in, for an easy commute to downtown Portland. Homes A recent RMLS home search in the South Burlingame area showed homes for sale from as low as $150,000 up to $898,500. Burlingame features quiet residential streets and a mix of older to more modern Portland home styles. Focus On Doggie Central is located 1 block from Papaccino's, next to the Starbucks at the corner of SW Terwilliger & SW Taylors Ferry Rd. This is where I take my beagle for his doggy daycare and he loves it. The owner, Jill, is a wonderful lady who loves dogs. They carefully screen every dog for temperament, and require current vaccination records for every dog. Dogs are grouped by size in large indoor pens with rubberized mats. Toys & treats are provided and they have a person in each play area at all times. Costs are very reasonable. Highly recommended! (Review submitted by Burlingame neighbor Andrew S.) Hot Eats A popular spot for Lewis & Clark students is the Tryon Creek Bar & Grill with it's $5 burger & brew nights (Wed) and other specials. Featuring 4 pool tables, loads of TV's, reasonable food, and an entertaining bar staff, you may find it a place worth frequenting (though it can be a little smoky). Also very good is the Market of Choice at 8502 Terwilliger (also on the corner of SW Terwilliger & Taylors Ferry) which share a wall with Chez Jose's. This neighborhood market is a step up from Zupan's with hardwood floors. You are immediately warmed by the smells of the deli with it's pizza oven, salad bar, olive bar, desserts, and breads.
